Tranquility

Tranquility

The animals in Yosemite National Park are obviously accustomed to humans and allowed us to come surprisingly close without any apparent regard or fear. This particular deer, however, had found a patch of solitude in the midst of a flurry of tourist activity not more than 50 feet away  and I happened upon him. We hung out for about 10 minutes  I taking his portrait … him checking me out (though he didn’t seem phased that I was there) and just enjoying the peace and quiet before I decided to head on my way.

There are moments in life that catch your breath … that make you take notice of a greater presence around you. How lucky it was that I chose that path to walk through.
