The animals in Yosemite National Park are obviously accustomed to humans and allowed us to come surprisingly close without any apparent regard or fear. This particular deer, however, had found a patch of solitude in the midst of a flurry of tourist activity not more than 50 feet away … and I happened upon him. We hung out for about 10 minutes … I taking his portrait … him checking me out (though he didn’t seem phased that I was there) and just enjoying the peace and quiet before I decided to head on my way.
There are moments in life that catch your breath … that make you take notice of a greater presence around you. How lucky it was that I chose that path to walk through.
